Rahul is the adopted son of Yashvardhan "Yash" Raichand (Amitabh Bachchan) and his wife Nandini (Jaya Bachchan). Their biological son, Rohan, is younger than Rahul by nine years. Yash is a rich and famous business man in India. He believes in keeping traditions, and is against love marriages. When Rahul Raichand (grown up played by Shah Rukh Khan) returns home from his overseas university, however, he meets and falls in love with a poor girl from the Chandni Chowk region of Delhi named Anjali (Kajol), who lives with her father and her sister Pooja.

Yash decides to arrange Rahul's marriage to his friend's daughter, Naina (Rani Mukerji). Rahul, however, tells his father that he wants to marry Anjali; this angers Yash, who berates Rahul for not considering Anjali's social status. Rahul apologizes to Yash and promises to do whatever is asked of him. He goes to tell Anjali that he cannot marry her, only to find that her father has died suddenly. After seeing that Anjali and Pooja have no other family, he marries Anjali on the spot. When he brings her home, his enraged father disowns him, and says that, because he is adopted and not of Raichand blood originally, he did such an act. Rahul, shocked and hurt, shares an emotional goodbye with his mother; Nandini asks Rahul's and Rohan's nanny, Sayeeda (Farida Jalal), to accompany Rahul wherever he goes so that he will always have a mother's love and care. After visiting Rohan at boarding school for the last time, he leaves with Anjali, Pooja, and Sayeeda.

Rohan (grown up played by Hrithik Roshan) is devastated by the split in the family, but has never learned why Rahul left because Rahul had made him promise never to ask. Ten years later, on his way home for the holidays, he stops to meet his maternal and paternal grandmothers and overhears them discussing the split; upon confrontation, they tell him the whole truth. When he goes to his parents' home, he learns from a few friends of Anjali's that Rahul and Anjali have settled down in London. Vowing to bring Rahul and Anjali home, Rohan tells his parents that he wants to go to London to study; Yash reluctantly agrees. As soon as he arrives in London, he tracks Rahul down and learns his address. He enrolls at the university and finds that Pooja (Kareena Kapoor) happens to be a student there. He tells her who he is and asks her to help him bring the family back together.

Meanwhile, Rahul has started his own business and is living comfortably with Anjali and their nine-year-old son, Krish, along with Pooja and Sayeeda. Pooja tells everyone that Rohan is her best friend's brother who has come from India and needs a place to stay. Rahul and Anjali welcome him (grudgingly, on Rahul's part), and Rohan soon becomes a part of the family without revealing who he is. He reminds Rahul and Anjali of how much they miss India and their parents, drawing pangs of guilt in Rahul. Slowly, the truth comes out and he tries to convince Rahul to go back to India. He even goes so far as to convince Yash and Nandini to come to London with the hope that Yash will reunite with Rahul. His plan fails, but Rahul and Nandini share a joyful reunion. At this point Anjali, too, attempts to persuade Rahul to go back to India and reconcile with his father. Rahul, convinced that his father does not love him and wants nothing to do with him, remains adamant until they learn that Yash's mother has died, and that her last wish was for Rahul, Yash, and Rohan to light her funeral pyre together. Rahul goes back to India, but participates in the funeral without speaking to his father.

Nandini confronts Yash and tells him, for the first time in ten years, that he was wrong in cutting ties with Rahul, whom he had brought into their home with such love and happiness. This leaves Yash stunned, and at odds with himself. Rohan finally manages to convince Rahul to visit home for Nandini's sake. They go with Anjali and Pooja, and find Yash humbled and sad. Yash apologizes to Rahul and berates him for believing that his father did not love him and for not returning home sooner.

Things end happily, with Rohan and Pooja's wedding and a belated celebration of Rahul and Anjali's wedding.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai Movie 1998 (Sharu Khan, Kajol)

Rahul (Shahrukh Khan) and the tomboy Anjali (Kajol) are students at St. Xavier College. They are the best of friends.

Then Tina, (Rani Mukerji), the principal's daughter, enrolls at St. Xavier. She is beautiful, feminine, and sophisticated -- the antithesis of Anjali. Rahul falls hard for Tina, just as Anjali is realizing that she has some feelings for Rahul. She awakens to those feelings just in time to see that it is hopeless. She leaves college suddenly, vowing to forget all.

Tina and Rahul marry and have a child -- whom they name Anjali. Tina dies in childbirth, but previously writes a series of eight letters. Every year, on Anjali's birthday, she is given a letter and hears her mother's loving wishes for her. In the eighth and last letter, the little girl is told about her namesake. Where Rahul had been blind, Tina had noticed the older Anjali's change of heart, and pitied her deeply. If Rahul hasn't remarried, perhaps his first love could be the mother that the young Anjali needs and wants.

Rahul has refused to remarry; he has thrown himself into his work with the intensity of desperation. Anjali Jr. believes that the older Anjali can make her beloved father happy again, and decides to help her father reclaim his lost paramour. She soon recruits her doting grandmother (Rahul's mother played by Farida Jalal) and grandfather (Tina's father played by Anupam Kher) as accomplices.

The unlikely conspirators locate Rahul's old flame and contrive to make Rahul and Anjali meet again. Rahul soon finds old feelings reviving. However, there is a complication. Anjali has bowed to her family's wishes and is engaged to another man, Aman (played by Salman Khan). Complications ensue, but all ends well as Aman steps aside to let the fated couple marry at last.

Chak De! India 2007 (Salman Khan)

The film opens in Delhi, India during the final minutes of the Hockey World Cup. The game is between the Pakistan men's national field hockey team and the India men's national field hockey team, with Pakistan leading, 1-0. When Indian team captain and hockey superstar, Kabir Khan (Shahrukh Khan) is fouled, he elects to take the penalty stroke himself. However, his strike flies just above the goal, and India suffers a crushing defeat. Soon after, the media begins to circulate a photograph of him accepting a handshake from the head of the Pakistani team, speculating that Khan (who is a Muslim)[5] might have "thrown" the game as an act of sympathy towards Pakistan. The religious prejudice exhibited towards Khan by the entire society at large[4][5] forces him and his mother out of their ancestral home and into exile.

Seven years later, Indian sport officials are surprised to learn that Khan wants to coach the Indian woman's field hockey team, a job no one else wants (an official claims the only long term role for women is to "cook and clean"). Khan thus finds himself in charge of a group of 16 women from all sections of India, who are divided by their own competitive natures and individual prejudices. One of the youngest players, Komal Chautala (Chitrashi Rawat) (from a village in Haryana) conflicts with Preeti Sabarwal (Sagarika Ghatge) from Chandigarh whom she refers to derisively as "memsaab" while tough girl Balbir Kaur (Tanya Abrol) from the Punjab has an extremely short temper that impacts the team. Balbir also bullies Rani Dispotta (Seema Azmi) and Soimoi Kerketa (Nisha Nair), who are both from remote villages in Jharkhand. Mary Ralte (Kimi Laldawla) from Mizoram and Molly Zimik (Masochon "Chon Chon" Zimik) from Manipur (in North-East India) are both treated as "foreign" by virtually everyone they meet and face repeated sexual harassment. The team's captain, Vidya Sharma (Vidya Malvade), is forced to choose between hockey and the wishes of her husband's family, while Preeti's boyfriend, the (fictional) vice captain of the India national cricket team Abimanyu Singh (Vivan Bhatena), is deeply threatened by her involvement with the team.

Khan realizes that he can only turn the girls into a winning team if he can help them to overcome these divisions and learn to cooperate with and help each other. Thus during the first few days, he benches a number of players who refuse to conform to his rules, including the most experienced player, Bindia Naik (Shilpa Shukla). In response, she repeatedly attempts to encourage the players to revolt against Khan. Bindia finally succeeds and in anger, Khan resigns. As a sign of good will, however, he invites the staff and team to a going away lunch. The anger that the team felt towards Khan and each other evaporates, however, when some local boys make a pass at Mary and Molly. In response Balbir attacks them, an act which leads to a brawl between the boys and the entire team. Khan, recognizing that this is their first instance of working together as a team, repeatedly prevents the staff from intervening. His only action is to stop a man from striking one of the women with a cricket bat from behind, telling him that there are no cowards (with a double entendre meaning of the Hindi word for coward) in hockey.[15] After the fight, the women (now bonded as a team) beg Khan to remain as their coach.

This newly found unity serves them through a series of additional challenges. When hockey officials suddenly decide not to send the women's team to Australia for The World Championship, the girls unite in a challenge match against the men’s team. Despite losing this match, their superb performance on the field forces the officials to change their mind and send the team to The World Championship. Once in Australia, the team faces a number of difficult matches with teams such as the Hockeyroos (Australia), the Black Sticks Women (New Zealand), the Las Leonas (Argentina), and the South Korean team (known for its use of the man-to-man marking technique). While initially still working to overcome their differences throughout the matches, the girls learn to act as a single unit. This move eventually leads them to victory and the restoration of Khan’s good name. In doing so, they not only destroy the prejudices which once separated them, but prove to their families and country the merit of women's athletics. At the end, Khan returns with his mother to their ancestral home, welcomed by those who had shunned them years before.

Bunty Aur Babli 2005 Hindi Movie (Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukarji)

Rakesh Trivedi (Abhishek Bachchan) comes from a small village. His father is a ticket collector on the train, and wants him to get into a similar occupation as well. However, Rakesh has big dreams; he is forever coming up with new business plans and is convinced he will make it big one day. He adamantly refuses any notion that he will one day work in a 9-to-5 environment.

Vimmi Saluja (Rani Mukerji) is the daughter of a Punjabi family in another small village; she spends her hours watching films and studying supermodels, and dreams of becoming Miss India one day.

One day Vimmi's parents tell her they have arranged her marriage to a young man with a decent job. At the same time Rakesh's father gives him an ultimatum – go to the interview for the job his father has arranged for him, or get out of the house.

Rakesh and Vimmi both pack their bags in their respective homes and sneak out in the dark of the night. They bump into each other at a train station, and become friends after realizing their stories are similar. Both support and encourage each other to achieve their dreams: Vimmi tries to enter herself in the Miss India contest but gets thrown out after an argument, and Rakesh tries to sell his ideas for an investment scheme, but a businessman turns him away. In fact, a man he had met at a restaurant stole ideas from Rakesh's presentation file and when he enters the office, the interviewer states someone before him came in with the same idea. After finding out that the businessman who Rakesh had approached has used his idea to make money for himself, he and Vimmi con him and take money they believe is rightly theirs.

Once they realize how easy it is to con people, they decide to run some more scams in order to raise money to make it to Bombay.

Unfortunately for India, they find the lifestyle too exciting to give up. Adopting the fake names of 'Bunty' and 'Babli', they successfully pull off scam after scam, looting and conning rich people dressed as local guides, religious priests, health inspectors, business partners, etc. Their flamboyant antics make them famous in newspapers nationwide. Soon their friendship leads to romance and they decide to continue scamming the rich as husband and wife.

Little do Rakesh and Vimmi know that ACP Dashrath Singh (Amitabh Bachchan) is catching up with their scams and pranks, getting closer each time. He relentlessly pursues them across India in the hopes of putting them behind bars. To complicate matters, Rakesh and Vimmi have a child, and after a very close call eluding Dashrath they decide to quit conning for their child's sake. Ironically, this decision leads to their capture by Dashrath. While in custody, their heartfelt confessions and conversation soften the detective's heart and he lets them go, certain he has destroyed Bunty and Babli's career as criminals.

Years later, Dashrath rescues them from their mundane and domestic lives to work for the nation thwarting the activities of other scammers.

Taare Zameen Par, the much awaited film of the year, has been released. And the reviews are about average! Though the first half keeps you on the edge, the film starts to lose steam somewhere around the middle. The entire movie revolves around the life of a child, Ishaan (Darsheel Safary), who is shown to be suffering from dyslexia. Through Taare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan tries to make us see the world, as it looks from the eyes of a child, who is a bit different from the other kids of his age.

The entry of Ram Shankar Nikumbh (Aamir Khan) is just before the interval. However, the drama that surrounds the entry clashes with the theme of the movie, which had a much more realistic look till then. Though Aamir Khan has tried to move away from the masala entertainment that has become a symbol of Bollywood, he hasn’t been able to do away with it completely. The whole concept of Taare Zameen Par is quite good, but the Indian audience has to make an effort to completely understand what it is all about.

The ending of the movie doesn’t take you by surprise. Infact, it becomes quite predictable in the second half itself. Nonetheless, one has to appreciate the efforts Aamir Khan has put in for making a film that goes totally against the current tide of comedies and thrillers, gripping the Indian audience. On top of that, he is not playing the central character. This is what is more interesting about the film. Unlike majority of the films of this genre, Taare Zameen Partotallyfocuses on the child, it is all about.

As far as performances are concerned, Darsheel Safary definitely deserves applauds. He does complete justice to his character of a dyslexic child and gives us no reason to complain. He manages to convince the audience completely and is like the show stealer. Aamir Khan does not have a dominant role in the film and limits himself to few shots only. And, as usual, he manages to sweep the audience off their feet. Infact, none of the actors in the film look out of place and all of them completely merge with their characters.

Taare Zameen Par has failed to completely explore the beauty of a teacher-student relationship. Both the artists share a very good chemistry and do make an impact on the audience through their onscreen relationship, but the problem is that they have very few scenes together. The animation put in the movie, on various occasions, boast of being some of the best to be seen in Bollywood movies, in the recent times. In short, Taare Zameen Par is a good effort to explore the sensitive issues. If you want to see good performances and are bored of the mushy scenes and exaggerated melodrama, this movie is just for you!

For all the die hard fans of actor Aamir Khan, there is finally some good news. Taare Zameen Par is all set to release, later this month. It is the directorial debut of the actor, who is also producing the movie. The avant-garde Bollywood flicker is the brain child of Amole Gupta, who is the writer and the creative director. The outcome of his close association with children, Taare Zameen Par has been spruced up with music by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy. Moreover, the star cast comprises of Aamir Khan, Darsheel Safary, Tanay Cheda, Sachet Engineer, Tisca Chopra and Vipin Shrama.

Now, if you are wondering what it is the story; do not go by the name, because it is surely not about any space program. Rather, it is the unconventional story of a special child. The movie revolves around Ishaan Awasthi (Darsheel Safary), who is an eight year old boy, living in the world of his own. Colors, fish, dogs and kites, play on his mind, driving him away from things like home work, marks, and neatness. This is certainly not appreciated by the brainy adults around him and he is packed off to a boarding school in order to be disciplined.

This does not bring any change in him; moreover he is traumatized by the separation from his family. Things around seem to change, when a new art teacher, Ram Shankar Nikumbh (Aamir Khan) appears on the screen. He transforms the whole scenario, bringing joy and optimism in the lives of the students. Breaking all the rules, he sets them free and encourages them to think, imagine and dream. All the kids in the school are excited by the flight of freedom except Ishaan. This is realized by Nikumbh, who then puts effort to know the reason why. Finally, with time, care and patience, he helps Ishaan discover his real world.

Taare Zameen Par seems to offer quite a lot for the fans of Aamir Khan; as it is not only donned with the magic of his acting, but also showcases his vision as a director. However, much will be decided after the box office reports are out, revealing how successful the actor has been in his venture. Right now, we can just hope, that the apple of many eyes, Aamir, manages to steal all the ‘Taare’ (stars) from the audience as well as the critics.

Golmaal 3 Hindi Movie

Golmaal 3, unfortunately, is a disappointing movie given that huge expectations had developed amongst the zealous fans of this franchisee. It may invite some chuckles, may be even some hysterical guffaws but in the end the comedy incorporated in here is mindless and borders around absurdity.But then, if you go looking for sense in any no-brainer by Rohit Shetty, then the joke is on you, dear friend!

Main Story Line : Pritam (Mithun Chakraborty) drives a school bus for a living and he has three adopted sons – Madhav (Arshad Warsi), Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor) and Laxman (Kunal Kemu). Geeta alias Guddi (Ratna Pathak Shah) has two children, both adopted – Gopal (Ajay Devgan) and Laxman (Shreyas Talpade). Daboo (Kareena Kapoor) is Gopal’s girlfriend.



Gopal is a hot-headed guy whose temper spells danger. A raised finger at him is all that it takes to instigate him. Brother Laxman stammers while talking. Madhav, Lucky and Laxman keep borrowing money and losing it in suspect business ventures. Lucky has a speech problem – he can’t speak. The path of Gopal and Laxman cross that of the three brothers in such circumstances that they become sworn enemies. Even as they can’t see eye to eye, Pritam and Geeta meet by accident, and their love gets rekindled. Daboo realises that Pritam and Geeta, who were in love during their youth, still love one another. Since they are both unmarried, Daboo takes it upon herself to get them united in matrimony. But will the five sons approve of this alliance?

Does Daboo succeed in her endeavour? What is the response of the five sons? There’s an additional track of Pappi (Johny Lever) who has memory lapses every now and then. He had stolen the queen’s necklace and had hidden it in Pritam’s bag while he was on the run from the police on the hunt for the jewel thief. Pappi, who has forgotten all about the whereabouts of the necklace, finances Pritam’s three children in their business enterprise. Does Pappi get the necklace back?

The third in the Golmaal series, this one is a farcical comedy without much of a story. Inspired by the television serial, Family No. 1, and the film, Khatta Meetha (old), it is more of an assemblage of funny sequences pieced together in a screenplay by writer Yunus Sajawal. As the story line is thin and not even new or fresh, the emphasis is more on creating laughter in individual scenes. While the attempt is successful upto a point, the monotony in the drama and the lack of an engrossing story hit the audience, especially after interval. No doubt, some scenes in the first half and a few after interval are absolutely hilarious and bring the house down with laughter, but then, there are also scenes which are designed to evoke laughter and fail. Writer Yunus Sajawal’s biggest flaw is the addition of the emotional track in the story. That’s because while the emotions fail to touch the heart and activate the tear ducts, the track robs the film of the comedy which has, actually, come to become the mainstay of the Golmaal films. So, while the emotional aspect fails to have the desired impact, it does rob the film of its USP – comedy!

Mithun shines in his role and even the others do their bit but the dearth of a quality script strikes a deathblow to the film. Given that the public are immersed in Diwali festivities, the film may earn sufficient footfalls and revenue but by next Diwali, this one shall be forlorn and forgotten.

The story begins at the airport, when Rotlu, Jiggy, Bombs and Shaleen offer to tell Mala the tale of Jai and Aditi, a love story with joys and sorrows, happiness and heartbreaks, laughter, songs and fights, and...a climax at the airport.
Meet Jai Singh Rathore, a.k.a ‘Rats’, the most non-violent Rajput ever. Meet Aditi Mahant, aka ‘Meow‘, a highly aggressive, impulsive girl. She abuses. She scratches (hence the name Meow).However, Jai and Aditi are college-going best buddies.
Jai and Aditi are perfect for each other. Their friends know this. Their parents know this. Everybody but the two themselves know this.
Aditi dreams of a virile, macho husband, while Jai wants a sweet, romantic girl. Since the two of them don't believe that they are in love, they decide to hunt for a perfect life partner for each other.
Jai falls in love with Meghna at first sight in a club where two psychos were misbehaving with her. He saves her, not by fighting but by tricking the two psychos, who always ride horses. Meghna always plays the game of imagination, “What’s this?” When Meghna and Jai get close to each other, Rotlu, Jiggy, Bombs and Shaleen are happy for Jai but nobody notices that Aditi was missing Jai’s company. Aditi notices changes in Jai’s behaviour.
Meghna informs Jai that her parents squabble together but cannot stay without each other. She says this is really "cute." Jai visits Meghna’s parents. Her father is an alcoholic. Her parents always argue with each other and Jai feels uncomfortable with them.
When Jai goes to meet Meghna's parents, he misses Aditi's surprise birthday party. She is hurt by this and acts rudely to Jai when he goes to wish her later that evening.
Aditi gets engaged to her father’s friend’s son, Sushant. Sushant is a spoilt playboy. At Jiggy’s birthday bash, Aditi introduces her fiancé. Then everyone decides to dance. Aditi is disturbed because she is jealous seeing Jai with Meghna. Aditi becomes emotional seeing Jai. In the middle of the dance, Sushant thinks Aditi is crying because she likes him and kisses her. Jai sees this and stops dancing abruptly. While taking Meghana home, she tries to cheer him up, but it just results him in becoming more angry. He shouts at Meghana for acting childishly.
Jai realizes that Meghna is a girl who runs from the reality and hides in rather stupid refuges. Meghna breaks down, and lets Jai know how she became this way, and why. Meghna shares her dark childhood story of her father having an extra-marital affair and her mother leaving the residence, but later only returning for Meghna's sake. Meghna is hurt when she sees her parents in pain solely on her account. But since there's no other way round, she decides to close her eyes and see things the way she wants, in a happy manner. Therefore, according to her, her parents fight in a very 'cute' manner. All is happy in the way she sees things, and does not want anyone to remove this veil before her eyes until she is ready for it. The next day, to cheer up things, she kids Jai by saying that Aditi is the right girl for him and he should marry her instead. Jai is taken aback when Meghna laughs and apologises, saying that she was only joking, and did not intend to shock Jai. But Jai reveals that there is more truth to the joke than Meghna thinks, and says that he is actually in love with Aditi. Meghna is shattered and leaves with a goodbye kiss. Aditi reveals her feelings for Jai under duress from Sushant, who slaps her on her face, leaving a bruise. Aditi decides to go to America to study film at New York University. Jai spots the bruise on Aditi’s face and thrashes Sushant for daring to lay a hand on her.
Jai gets arrested for thrashing Sushant and is put behind bars. There, he encounters the two psychos, Bhaloo and Bhageere, who were harassing Meghna in the club. However, they find out that they are closely related cousins, separated in childhood. They tell him that to become a man in their Rathore clan, he must complete three conditions: 1.) Thrash someone 2.) Get arrested 3.) Ride a horse. They tell him that his father was a brave man and fought heroically but died while doing so. Jai realizes that his mother lied to him by claiming that his father was a non-violent person. Unaware of all this, Aditi makes her way to the international airport. Jai rides a horse, borrowed from his cousin, and heads towards the airport to chase her.
He crosses the security and seeks for Aditi. He finds her and sings a song for her i.e. tera mujse hai pehle ka naata koi yoon hi nahi dil lubhaata koyi jaane tu ya jaane naa.... (we have a relation of past anyone doesn't become close to one's heart know it or not accept it or not). Aditi, delighted, hugs him.
Rotlu, Jiggy, Bombs and Shaleen conclude the story and welcome Jai and Aditi, just returning from their honeymoon, at the airport. Mala introduces herself to them as Jiggy’s girlfriend.
