Alpha and Omega 2010 Hollywood Film

Kate (Hayden Panettiere) and Humphrey (Justin Long) are two wolves from the same pack in Canada’s Jasper National Park but on opposite ends of the social order. Kate, daughter of the main Alpha male Winston (Danny Glover) and his mate Eve (Vicki Lewis), is herself an Alpha and takes her duty to the pack seriously. Humphrey, on the other hand, is an Omega wolf, the lowest of the pack, and spends his days making jokes and playing about with his other Omega friends Shakey (Kevin Sussman), Salty (Brian Donovan), and Mooch (Eric Price). Despite his low rank in the pack, Humphrey has a crush on Kate and is valued in the pack as a peacemaker by virtue of his affable nature.

During her youth, Kate left to begin Alpha school with her father. She returns as a fully trained Alpha but on her first hunt, two members of the Eastern pack ruin her attempt, leaving her pack with nothing but bones and scraps. The two packs have had a bitter rivalry since Winston dislikes the fact that Tony (Dennis Hopper), the Alpha male of the Eastern pack, wants to unite them into one large pack. Winston and Tony meet up one night and arrange for Kate to marry Tony’s son Garth (Chris Carmack). Kate, having followed her father and heard everything, wearily agrees for the good of the pack and she meets Garth at the Howling Rock. Garth too is a fully trained Alpha but one thing lets him down - his howl, which is how wolves find their mate, when their howls match. Garth begins to howl, and Kate is mortified by how bad he is. Kate escapes the date for a drink of water and runs into Humphrey by the river. They are then shot with tranquilizer darts by a ranger and taken to Idaho.

The two wolves wake up at Sawtooth National Recreation Area and meet a French-Canadian goose named Marcel (Larry Miller) who has an avid interest in golf and his caddy, a duck named Paddy (also voiced by Eric Price). Kate and Humphrey learn that they were relocated to repopulate the species, which upsets Kate. Marcel and Paddy agree to help the wolves return home to Jasper and they hitch a ride in a camper truck driven by a couple that vacation to Jasper yearly while Marcel and Paddy follow from above.

Trouble brews back at Jasper as the two packs discover that Kate has gone missing. Tony warns Winston that on the next full moon if Kate doesn’t return to marry Garth, he and his pack will declare war for their territory. Lilly (Christina Ricci), an omega wolf who is Kate’s younger sister, falls in love with Garth and suggests that she shows him around.

That night when the camper stops by a truck-stop, Humphrey exits the camper to urinate. He is distracted by a cupcake and begins to eat it. A man mistakes Humphrey for a rabid wolf since he has creamy frosting around his mouth. He then prepares to shoot Humphrey, but Kate jumps in to save him. They escape, but they sacrifice their ride to Jasper.

That night, Kate finds a ravine and attempts to cross it. She slips down the cliff, but Humphrey saves her by swinging on a vine and telling her to grab his tail. After that the two of them make a den for the night.

The next morning, Marcel and Paddy find the wolves and direct them to a train over a snowy mountain that will take them to Jasper. Climbing the mountain Humphrey meets a bear cub (Maya Feltheimer) who is unfamiliar with wolves. When they are playing, the cub gets hurt when a snowball is thrown at him. This angers a trio of bears (most likely the cub's parents) who think that Humphrey was trying to harm the cub. When Kate realizes that Humphrey is in danger, she rushes in to help him, causing them to slide down the other side of the mountain on a log (which happens to be one of Humphrey's hobbies). Humphrey saves Kate, and, as the train passes by, the two wolves manage to get into a boxcar just in time.

On the train that night, Humphrey starts to howl at the full moon and asks Kate to join him. She does, after hearing his beautiful howl, and the two howl a romantic duet. Kate realizes that Humphrey is who she belongs with. Meanwhile at the Howling Rock in Jasper, Lilly helps Garth improve his howl. He succeeds and the two howl together. Tony and his pack show up at the scene to prepare to attack the other pack and berates his son for howling with an omega. Lilly retreats to alert her father. Since Kate has yet to return, Tony commands his pack to "take the valley."

Shortly, the train passes by Jasper. Humphrey attempts to tell Kate how he feels about her, but the sight of the packs fighting causes her to jump off the train before he can finish. Kate stops the fight by announcing that she will marry Garth for the good of the packs, much to Humphrey and Lilly’s surprise and disappointment.

The next day, a heartbroken Humphrey decides to leave Jasper and travel on his own and shares his goodbyes with Kate, Marcel and Paddy, who have arrived and decided to stay. Yet Kate feels heartbroken too after realizing how she feels about Humphrey. Halfway through Kate and Garth's marriage ceremony, Kate backs out after deciding Humphrey is who she wants to be with. Garth as well declares the same for Lilly. Winston is confused, while Tony and his pack start to fight the other pack out of anger, but the conflict is cut short when a massive stampede of caribou interrupts the scene. Winston and Tony are trapped in the stampede so Kate and Humphrey, who has decided to return, both jump in to the rescue. Kate is knocked out when attempting to reach cover, and Humphrey rushes forward to protect her, shielding her with his own body while Winston and Tony try to scare the caribou out of the path of the two.

After the stampede fades, it appears that Kate has been trampled to death. Humphrey declares his love for Kate and howls as a requiem for her, and all the wolves then join in. Then, Kate wakes up, much to everyone's relief. Kate and Humphrey finally declare their true feelings to each other, and Winston and Tony agree to unite the packs under a marriage between Garth and Lilly, and demolish the rule over social class. That night, everyone celebrates the happy ending at Howling Rock, and Humphrey and Kate howl a duet at the close of the film.

Tomorrow, When the War Began (2010) Hollywood Film

The film begins with a video log by Ellie. She asks the camera how she can tell their story. She suggests to herself "from the beginning."

Country high school student Ellie (Caitlin Stasey) sets off on a camping trip with close childhood friend Corrie (Rachel Hurd-Wood), together with Corrie's boyfriend Kevin, Ellie's next-door neighbour Homer, high school crush Lee and friends Robyn and Fi. After driving Ellie's parents' Land Rover into the mountains, they hike down into a remote valley known as "Hell".

During their first night camping, Ellie wakes to a sky full of military aircraft. Upon arriving back town, the group finds their homes abandoned, with power, internet and telephone lines down. From the hill overlooking Robyn's house, the group sees that the only lights on in town are at the hospital and the showground. Upon reaching the showground, they find that the citizens of the town are being detained. Ellie witnesses a man being executed with a shot to the head, and in her horror retreats too quickly, being spotted by a searchlight. They flee but are pursued by soldiers into the backyard of a house. Ellie, using Kevin's singlet, lighter and the fuel tank of a ride-on lawn mower, create an explosion that eliminates the squad.

On return to Corrie's house, they find that Lee and Robyn are missing. Ellie and Corrie witness an Australian F/A-18 jet fighter being shot down by unidentified aircraft. Whilst the group gathers inside to plan for their return to Hell, an enemy helicopter performs a close examination of the house. Homer shoots at and damages the helicopter, which retreats after dropping flares. The group barely escape with their lives, after a jet destroys the home.

That night, Ellie and Homer sneak back into town and find Robyn in her house. Lee has been wounded, and is being treated by Dr Clements (Colin Friels), the local dentist, who informs them that the invading forces are bringing in their vehicles and equipment from ships moored in Cobbler's Bay over the Wirrawee Bridge. After a brief skirmish with a pair of armed buggies, Robyn, Homer, Lee and Ellie meet back up at Corrie's home. They decide to return to Hell.

On the way they stop at a random house, and are greeted by school mate Chris, who is incredibly stoned and has no idea that a war is going on. Chris joins the group. They return to Hell, with plans to use it as a secluded hideout where the enemy forces will not find them. While there, they hear a radio transmission revealing that Australia has been invaded by "The Coalition Nations" from nearby Asia, who believe that they have a right to the country's vast natural resources and wealth in order to sustain their growing populations. The transmission also reveals one of the three main ports being used to deposit soldiers into the country is nearby Cobbler's Bay, the only exit from which is the Heron Bridge, which the group then makes plans to destroy.

The group sneaks back to Wirrawee, and devise a plan to blow up Heron Bridge. Ellie and Fi steal a petrol tanker from the council depot. They park it near the bridge and, while waiting for the rest of the team to take their positions. After being discovered by guards, they rush to drive the tanker forward under the bridge. The plan necessarily brought forward, Homer and Lee scare a herd of cattle onto the bridge, forcing the sentry guards to flee their posts, allowing Ellie to park the tanker under the bridge unhindered. Working together, they manage to explode the tanker, which utterly destroys the bridge. Corrie however is shot as the group escapes.

Despite certain capture, Kevin decides to drive Corrie, who is seriously wounded, to the hospital and remain by her side. The group return to Hell. Ellie then finishes her video log, revealing their ongoing guerilla war, the necessity to fight, and that they have yet to be found.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief 2010 Movie Hollywood Film

On top of the Empire State Building, Olympian gods Zeus and Poseidon meet where Zeus reveals his lightning bolt has been stolen and accuses Poseidon's demigod son Percy Jackson for the theft. Poseidon reminds him his son is unaware of his true identity, so Zeus declares that unless Percy returns the lightning bolt to Mount Olympus before the next summer solstice, war will be waged. Percy himself is a sixteen-year old teenager who appears to be dyslexic, but has a unique ability to stay underwater for a lengthy time. Whilst on a school trip to the local museum, Percy is attacked by a Fury disguised as his supply teacher who demands the lightning bolt. She is chased off by Percy's best friend Grover Underwood and teacher Mr. Brunner, both of whom appear disabled. Upon learning the Fury's reason for the attack, Mr. Brunner has Grover take Percy and his mother Sally out to Camp Half-Blood, leaving behind Sally's lazy husband Gabe Ugliano. However, the three are attacked by a minotaur who appears to kill Sally, since she is unable to enter the camp. Percy kills the minotaur with its own horn and then faints from shock.

Three days on, Percy wakes up in the camp, learning he is the son of Poseidon, Grover is really a satyr and his protector, and Mr. Brunner is really the centaur Chiron. Chiron suggests Percy goes to Mount Olympus and convince Zeus of his innocence. Percy begins his training to use his demigod powers which include water manipulation, and meets other demigods including Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena, and Luke Castellan, son of Hermes. After assisting in a team exercise, Percy is visited by a fiery apparition of his uncle Hades who reveals Sally is with him in the Underworld and he will return her safely if Percy hands over the lightning bolt. Defying Chiron's orders not to go, Percy decides to go to the Underworld and is joined by Grover and Annabeth. They visit Luke who gives them a map showing three pearls which they can utilize to escape the Underworld, an old shield, and a pair of winged shoes Luke stole from his father.

The trio head out, locating the first pearl at an old garden centre but encounter Medusa who tries to kill them until decapitated by Percy, her head taken with them for further use. They locate the second pearl in the Parthenon in Nashville, only to be confronted by the Hydra. Percy uses the winged shoes to gain the pearl, and Grover petrifies the Hydra using Medusa's head. The third pearl is located in Las Vegas in the Lotus Casino, where the three eat lotus plants and forget their reason for being there and end up in the casino for several days until they come to their senses and flee, discovering the casino is run by the Lotus-Eaters. With all three pearls in their possession, Percy, Grover and Annabeth head into the Underworld located in Hollywood.

They meet Hades and his wife Persephone. Hades hands over Sally and locates the lightning bolt, which was hidden inside Luke's shield this whole time. Persephone knocks out Hades to avoid having to spend eternity with him and hands the lightning bolt over to Percy. However, because they only have three pearls, only Percy, Annabeth and Sally can go, whilst Grover remains with Persephone. Percy, Annabeth and Sally teleport to the Empire State Building but are attacked by Luke, who wants to destroy Mount Olympus to secure the demigods' place as the new rulers of the gods. After a fight across Manhattan, Percy defeats Luke and returns the lightning bolt to Zeus who forgives Percy, and allows Poseidon to briefly speak with his son. The film ends with Percy and Annabeth reuniting with Grover, who has grown horns (but only small ones) meaning that he is now a senior protector, and returning to the camp to continue their training. In a post-credits scene, Gabe is kicked out of Sally's house but raids the fridge only to be petrified by Medusa's head.

Titanic II 2010 Hollywood Film

In April 2012, 100 years after the sinking of the RMS Titanic, a new, similar-looking luxury cruise liner named the SS Titanic II is christened. She then embarks on her maiden voyage using the same route the Titanic took 100 years before in reverse direction (United States to United Kingdom).

During the Atlantic crossing, the effects of Global Warming cause the Helheim glacier in Greenland to collapse, creating a tsunami that sends an iceberg crashing into the Titanic II. The entire starboard side of the ship is crushed and immense pressure is put on the liner's turbines. As people struggle against the rising waters and run for the submarine-shaped lifeboats, the turbines eventually explode, causing an immense fire inside the listing and sinking vessel.

Hourts late, another tsunami caused by a second collapse of the Helheim glacier hits the liner, flipping it upside-down and drowning the people still on board and killing the passengers in the lifeboats. With most of the ship flooded, the Titanic II finally sinks.

The two main protagonists, ship owner Hayden Walsh and nurse Amy Maine, survive, having stayed aboard the ship instead of going for the lifeboats as Amy's father, U.S. Coast Guard Captain James Maine, had ordered. However, the ship's diving facility only has one oxygen tank, which Hayden gives to Amy. Captain Maine rescues them both, but Hayden dies, leaving Amy and a few passengers who got off the ship on Hayden's helicopter earlier as the only survivors of the disaster.

HOP Movie 2010 Hollywood Hit

The film opens with Fred narrating the story of how he and E.B. met and became co-Easter Bunnies. On Easter Island, E.B. (Russell Brand), a British teenage rabbit, is intended to succeed his father (Hugh Laurie) as the Easter Bunny. However, E.B., intimidated by the calling's demands, runs away to Hollywood to pursue his dream of becoming a drummer. While the young rabbit struggles to find a home, unsuccessfully asking Hugh Hefner to take him in at his Playboy mansion, his father sends his royal guard, The Pink Berets, to find his son. Meanwhile baby-chicken Carlos and his music-obsessed assistant Phil plot to take over the Easter organization.

Wandering through Los Angeles, E.B. is hit by Fred O'Hare (James Marsden), an out of work slacker who was driving to the house he is then the caretaker of. Feigning injury, E.B. persuades Fred to take him in as he recovers. Unfortunately, E.B. causes trouble in the home and Fred attempts to abandon him in the wilderness. However, E.B. persuades the human to help him by claiming to be the Easter Bunny, whom Fred saw in operation in his youth. When the rabbit sees the Berets closing in on him while waiting in the parking lot while Fred is having his interview, he is forced to flee into the business. Although he enjoys a successful recording session with the Blind Boys of Alabama as their substitute drummer, he ruins Fred's job interview in the process while getting a tip about an audition opportunity with David Hasselhoff.

Meanwhile, Easter Chick Carlos (Hank Azaria), disappointed that he is not allowed to take E.B.'s place, plots a coup d'état against the Easter Bunny.

Promising to leave Fred alone if the human helps him get to the audition, E.B. eventually performs for the star. Hasselhoff, both impressed with the rabbit's performance and accustomed to talking things, invites him to perform on his show in a few days time. Afterward, Fred (with E.B. hiding in a satchel) is obliged to attended his precocious adopted younger sister's Easter school pageant, but E.B. alarmed that the Pink Berets have apparently found him, dashes out and disrupts the show even as Fred tries to stop him. Trapped on stage and wanting to hide E.B.'s intelligence, Fred feigns a ventriloquist's act with the bunny's cooperation as his dummy and they lead the show in singing "I Want Candy."

Although both his younger sister and father are angry about the upstaging, Fred is inspired to be the Easter Bunny himself. Although E.B. is skeptical, he agrees to train the human and eventually finds that Fred has some genuine talent for it. On the day of E.B.'s performance, the Pink Berets have found the house. Although he tries to fake his death with a frozen turkey dressed in his clothes in a cook pot, E.B. cannot bring himself to abandon his dream and leaves for Hasselhoff's show.

The Berets see the turkey, and horrified that the human in the house has apparently killed E.B., capture Fred and take him to Easter Island. Once there, Fred is held captive and confronted by the Easter Bunny and Carlos about killing E.B.. At this opportunity, Carlos ignores Fred's protests about the truth of the decoy and seizes control of the Easter factory.

As this is happening, E.B. is wracked with guilt at selfishly abandoning his friend to the point where his own reflection is berating him about it. After discussing the situation with Hasselhoff, the star advises him to go back and help his friend with no hard feelings for this sudden departure. When he finds evidence of the Berets' capture of Fred, E.B. races back to the factory.

At the Island, E.B. confronts Carlos, but is immobilized in gummi candy and is tossed into the chocolate bunny carving line. Fred and E.B.'s father are tied with black licorice and are to be boiled alive. Fred eats his way out enable his and E.B.'s father's escape while E.B. survives by dodging the blades. Carlos, now a chick-bunny combination due to the Easter magic, tries to lead the Easter sleigh out with Phil directing via lighted wands. To stop the launch, E.B. improvises a drum session. Uncontrollably driven to dance to the beat, Phil provides the wrong signals, causing a crash and Carlos is subdued.

At the conclusion of this crisis, E.B. decides to accept his responsibilities. Remorseful for denigrating his son's interests, E.B.'s father compromises by appointing both E.B. and Fred co-Easter bunnies (something that Fred wanted to do his whole life) to address the workload concern. Back at Fred's house, Fred is having brunch with his family while discussing his new job. Before Fred and E.B. leave, Fred's father comes to him to apologize for denigrating Fred's interests and sees them off, and they are now proud of him for having a job and responsibilities, but they are a little freaked out over the said job's nature.

Black Swan 2010 Hollywood hit movie

Black Swan is a 2010 American psychological thriller film directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Natalie Portman, Vincent Cassel, and Mila Kunis. Its plot revolves around a production of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake ballet by a prestigious New York City company. The production requires a ballerina to play both the innocent White Swan and the sensual Black Swan. One dancer, Nina (Portman), is a perfect fit for the White Swan, while Lily (Kunis) has a personality that matches the Black Swan. When the two compete for the parts, Nina finds a dark side to herself.

Aronofsky conceived the premise by connecting his viewings of a production of Swan Lake with an unrealized screenplay about understudies and the notion of being haunted by a double, similar to the folklore surrounding doppelgängers. The director also considered Black Swan a companion piece to his 2008 film The Wrestler, with both films involving demanding performances for different kinds of art. He and Portman first discussed the project in 2000, and after a brief attachment to Universal Pictures, Black Swan was produced in New York City in 2009 by Fox Searchlight Pictures. Portman and Kunis trained in ballet for several months prior to filming and notable figures from the ballet world helped with film production to shape the ballet presentation.

The film premiered as the opening film for the 67th Venice International Film Festival on September 1, 2010. It had a limited release in the United States starting December 3, 2010 and opened nationwide on December 17. Black Swan received unanimous critical praise upon its release, particularly for Portman's performance and Aronofsky's direction. Portman won the Academy Award for Best Actress for the film, as well as in many other guilds and festivals for the Best Actress award, while Aronofsky was nominated for Best Director. In addition, the film itself received a nomination for Best Picture.

The Tourist (2010 film) ANGELINA JOLIE, JOHNNY DEPP

A woman named Elise (Jolie) is being trailed in Paris by French police working with Scotland Yard. At a cafe, she receives a letter from Alexander Pearce, a former lover, with explicit directions to board a train to Venice, Italy, pick out a man who resembles him and make the police believe that this man is Alexander Pearce. A mysterious stranger, not involved with the police, also seems to be watching Elise. Elise burns the letter and boards a train.

She takes a seat beside Frank (Depp), an American tourist reading a spy novel. Frank is instantly attracted to her. The train arrives in Venice, and they take a boat to the Hotel Danieli. At dinner, much to Frank's dismay, Elise admits to having feelings for another man, presumably Alexander Pearce. They share a kiss, witnessed by the men following her.

The next day, Frank awakens to find Elise gone. Men suddenly try to break into the hotel room. Frank barely escapes but is caught by the Italian police. A sympathetic detective listens to Frank's story that he does not know why these men are after him. He takes Frank from the jail and tells him that his story checks out, and that the men after him were Belarusians who have placed a prize on his head and who believe Frank to be someone else. The detective however then delivers Frank into the clutches of these same men, in order to collect the money they promised.

Elise appears suddenly to rescue Frank, fleeing on a boat. Elise finally tells Frank that all this is happening because she kissed him and made the police believe that he was Alexander Pearce. Frank learns that Pearce stole two billion from a gangster named Shaw (Berkoff) and is wanted by the British Government for tax evasion. Stunned by the news, Frank says he still does not regret kissing Elise.

Elise apologizes for getting him involved at all and tricks Frank off the boat. Frank says he loves her. Elise goes to a government building. She turns out to be a secret agent for Britain. She sees her fellow British agent Acheson (Bettany), who was among those following her in Paris. Elise was supposed to work undercover against Pearce but fell in love with him and had disappeared from her job until now. She tells Acheson that she is ready to help him find Pearce now because she wants to prevent anybody else from getting hurt.

Elise goes to a ball Pearce has invited her to attend, wearing a wire. She is handed a letter by the same mysterious stranger from Paris. The letter is from Pearce, saying where to meet him. As Elise turns to leave, Frank is standing in front of her. They dance. Elise leaves to find Pearce and agent Acheson's men apprehend Frank. They both watch on surveillance equipment as Elise walks into a trap set by the gangster Shaw. The gangster threatens to kill her unless she returns the money Pearce stole from him. Agent Acheson doesn't help his colleague Elise, confident that Pearce will show up to rescue her.

Elise reveals the safe's location but does not know its code. Frank watches in horror as Elise is threatened yet again. Seeing that Acheson won't help Elise, Frank picks the lock to his handcuffs and escapes to help her. Frank pretends to be Pearce. Elise begs him to stop or he will be killed. Frank, acting as Pearce, tells Shaw that he will get his money but only if Elise is first released and safe. As Frank pretends that he is about to open the safe, Elise mouths "I love you."

All of a sudden, Chief Inspector Jones (Dalton) gives the order for the police snipers to shoot Shaw and his men. Frank and Elise are unharmed. As the police survey the scene, agent Acheson can't believe that Pearce did not save Elise and Jones is furious with him for exposing her to danger. Jones then informs Elise that she has been terminated from the force. A police report informs them that Pearce has just been caught. As the room clears, Elise and Frank embrace. He asks her if she loves both him and Alexander Pearce. Elise answers yes. To spare her from this dilemma, Frank reveals that he is the real Alexander Pearce by entering the correct code for the safe. Pearce had gotten plastic surgery, so he could have a new life.

The arrested man believed to be Pearce explains to police that he was paid to pretend and that he is just a tourist. Elise and Frank/Pearce leave on a boat with the money, finally being able to be together. In the safe, police find a bankers check for the ₤744 million in back taxes Pearce owed the British government.
