Smarcks Smart Blocks for kids review

As many of you know I love finding products and toys that are educational for my kids. I mean whats better than a toy that will amuse them for a bit so you can get stuff done and at the same time be teaching them stuff too? I cant think of anything better. I must say all 6 of my kids favorite toys since they were little and even now as they are older are blocks. Blocks of all shapes and sizes. So when I came across Smarcks Smart Blocks I knew these were for us!

What are Smarcks? They are Kids Blocks that talk and teach kids a variety of skills like numbers, colors, ABC's,Math, Nursery rhymes and much more. I think that is the coolest thing ever. We got a 70 piece building set and the color blocks, the nursery rhyme blocks, the music blocks, the math blocks, counting, shapes and ABC Blocks. My kids were so excited. They were fighting over who's blocks they were ha ha. Not that they don't have a million more block around the house but none of them talk and sing ha ha. They had a blast building towers and castles and listening to the blocks sing to them and count with them. I think this is their new favorite toy. They have been playing with them for over a week and have not got tired of them yet. They just love learning and building and listening to them. These are a definite must have for all kids. Back to school means shoe shopping for me. I have 6 kids and every season its time for new shoes I swear lol. Knot Genie review and Contest

I have 5 girls that all have alot of hair. We have used brush after brush and I still hear whining and griping and crying and running away every time I try to do their hair. Really its got to the point I hate doing their hair anymore. Its a very stressful time for all of us. So when I got the chance to try a Knot Genie I thought why not!

The Knot Genie is a hand held cloud shape brush with no handle almost like a horse brush lol. Its bristles are soft rubber like. I immediately thought this is not going to get the knots out of my girls hair. Boy was I wrong lol. That made hair brushing alot easier especially with my long thick haired 3 year old. Now we only use the Knot genie and love it. Our Opinion:

I use little treats or stickers to reward the winning team and runner ups. Definitely a great and fun way to get your kids to study! Day 5 Back To School Event- Discount School Supplies review and giveaway ends 9-2

It is that time a year again when we are all scrambling all over to get the best deals for back to school supplies. Lucky I have found the solutions to drive from store to store and all and its called Discount School Supply. They are a website that has pretty much everything you need at very low prices. It will save you time and gas and you can just shop at home in your Jammies and get what your kids need lol.

I got alot of my kids stuff there and all at great prices. For under $40 I got 2 packs of Crayola crayons the 8 packs, 4 sticks of colorations washable glue sticks, two 12 packs of NO. 2 pencils, 2 pencil sharpeners, a set of 24 decorate your own glasses craft kit, set of 12 canvas pencil bags, a double sided upper and lower case alphabet board, set of 8 dry erase markers, 2 packs of 9"x12" construction paper with 50 sheets in each, and a pack of 12 beginner pencils with erasers. Can you believe  that? That's alot of stuff for cheap.

So how was the quality of everything? Well first off everything was great brand names and great prices and shipped fast to me. The 2 packs of crayola crayons were great. None were broken and they color great. I know my kindergartner will use these alot!

The Colorations washable glue sticks are awesome. I love glue sticks because they are less messy and gives the kids the freedom of gluing things themselves. The glue dries fast and hold wonderfully.

The No.2 pencils well are pencils and work great and being No.2 I know they can be used for test and at school no problem. They don't break easily and my kids will be using these alot!

The pencil sharpeners are great especially since they have the lids on them to catch the shavings and that's a good thing haha. They sharpen the pencils easily and quickly!

The decorate your own glasses craft kit I got for my daughters birthday party for her friends to do. They are a thick cardboard and the kids loves coloring them and gluing jewels and feathers to them and making their own fashionable glasses. Definitely a great craft!

The canvas pencil bags are great because the kids can decorate them themselves and put all their pencils crayons and erasers in them and right into their backpack to keep everything together. These little bags are tough and handy!

The Double sides Upper & Lower case Alphabet board I got for my Kindergartner. It is a dry eraser board with her alphabet on them and a place where she can trace them and them write them on her own. This will save alot of paper and will help her so much with her writing. This is also what I bought the dry eraser marker for and they work awesome on this board. Love it!

The construction paper is great for my kids and their little art projects they are always making for school. I can never have enough construction paper. This paper was tough and great assortment of colors.

So overall we were very impressed with what we got and love everything. They all did what they needed to at very affordable price. I am in total love with Educational Insight products. I really am! They have so many learning things that are fun and help my kids. I love the games that help them with their homework. The newest game we got was KaBAM!. KaBAM! is a fast fun card game that helps your kids with English and is so much fun!

Our Opinion:
We love games especially card games. Only my three oldest are old enough to play this game so far but my 6 year old has been watching and is figuring it out she just got to get he whole reading and word spelling thing down first. This game reminds us alot of WAR in a way. You split the deck into 2 even stacks and you play two players or two teams. Then you flip over the first card on the stack both teams do and set them next to each other and the first person to say a word out of the letters down wins the cards. EXAMPLE: one card says OU and the other card says D  so you say the word LOUD or DOUGH and win! The person or team who wins all the cards in the end or the most card at the end wins. Not too hard but it can get challenging.  It really helps my kids with spelling, reading and word building. I love this! Definitely a fun and great game for the whole family!

Smencils and Smens the new smelly school supplies

I remember when I was in school the cool thing was the scratch and sniff smelly stickers lol. We loved them so much. Now my kids have just found out about Smencils and Smens and are in love with them. I know they will be the next new cool thing at their school like the stickers were in mine.

 What are Smencils and Smens? They are pens and pencils that are scented in 10 different yummy scents. Plus don't forget they are all made from recycled products to stay green as well. The pencils are made by wrapping recycled newspapers tightly around a graphite or colored core. Then the pencil is infused with gourmet scents and put into corn-based biodegradable freshness tubes. The pens are made with recycled newspaper barrels and biodegradable plastics. The pens are infused with 10 different gourmet scents and put into corn-based biodegradable freshness tubes.

We got 5 Pencils, 5 Pens and 5 colored pencils to try out and my kids love them. They cant get enough of opening each one and smelling the different scents haha. Especially since they have yummy scents like cotton candy, bubble gum, black licorice, root beer, watermelon and many more. Not only do they smell awesome they work wonderful. If I had to change something all I could think of would be instead of the plain outsides of the pencils and pens maybe dye them a color to make them look more colorful and fashionable but like I said it really doesn't matter too much with the looks of them because the smell and all is the seller lol. I know my kids will be using these at school and I wouldn't be surprised if their friends ask where they got them.

Day 3back to school event- Terracycle supplies review and giveaway ends 8-26

I always love finding the newest and coolest back to school items for my kids but I do like to also find things that are Earth friendly as well. This is where TerraCycle comes in for me. Me and my kids have seen their things here and there for a few years now but they are really becoming popular lately.

What is TerraCycle? It is a company that is reducing waste by finding innovative uses for materials others deem garbage. TerraCycle pays non-profits and schools to collect used drink pouches, yogurt cups, chip bags and more! TerraCycle also collects industrial waste. The materials are upcycled into affordable, high-quality products. With help from millions of people like you, TerraCycle prevents 1000’s of tons of waste from going to landfills. I think that is a awesome idea!

So what did we get from TerraCycle? well we got some awesome things and I got ideas for Christmas and Birthday presents as well. First off we got a Honest Kids Backpack that is made from the Honest kids juice pouches . It is a tough backpack. My daughter loves it because its cool and another because it is purple ha ha.  It is a great size and like I said tough. I see this backpack actually lasting the whole year unlike the last year back pack I got from some place else that started ripping within a few months. I this this is a great idea to reduce waste and make very cute things.

The next thing we got was a Classic Lay's spiral Notebook. My oldest loved this one. With her starting junior high this will be great for her to write notes on. Plus who doesn't love Lay's chips? Only thing is they might make you hungry looking at them ha ha. But definitely a durable notebook and lots of fun.

The last thing we got was Coffee Leaf Paper. Yes paper made from Coffee leafs. This is great computer paper. It has a great tan tint to it and texture look as well. Great for invites, resumes, or just a great looking final report. I love it!

It is cool and neat items that help save the earth and lessen landfills and that's always a good thing in my book. There are cleaners, toys and school supplies and more to chose from. Kolcraft's Jeep Wrangler Twin Stroller review and giveaway ends 8-26

 Spring, Summer and Fall we spend alot of time outdoors. We love taking walks to pick up kids from school . We walk to the park or the the store. We walk around car shows and events. With 3 kids 6 and under we always need to have a double stroller. There are days I hate pulling out the big huge stroller so a umbrella stroller is perfect but those in double size can be hard to find. That why when I got the change to test out Kolcraft's Jeep Wrangler Twin Sport I was excited!

 When it arrived we couldn't wait to get it together and use it. It was very easy to put together. All you had to do is snap the front wheels on and pin the back wheels on and done. Honestly I was expecting it to take a good 45 minutes or more but with in 15 minutes I was done and I did it all by myself. I was surprised how sturdy it was. It was not too wide and steered awesome. It was easy to fold up and down. It wasn't too heavy. I love the canopies to keep my kids shaded. the seats reclined which most umbrella strollers don't. I like the seat pad to protect the kids from cold winds and when folded up it let air in on hot days to their backs and it made a great pillow for their heads. I love the parent cup holder only thing I wish it had a cup holder for the kids as well lol. I absolutely loved how comfortable and easy to push and steer it was that even my other kids could easily push it. It has two cargo bags on the side to hold the kids snacks and diapers and stuff to go with us. It easily fit in the rear of my van which is great because their is not alot of space in the back of my van. This has absolutely been my favorite stroller yet. It definitely is gonna get alot of use!

I am fascinated with the anything that has to do with anatomy and health. I think it is so amazing how our bodies work. I try to teach my kids about their body as well because I mean there body are the most important thing to take care of and if they know how it works then they understand their bodies alot better. When we got it we were excited to open it and check it out. The kids immediately thought it was pretty cool. They always loved those cards you move to change the scene and this is exactly what this does. You look at it one way you see two kids standing there. Then look at it different then you see their bones or organ systems or muscular system. This was pretty neat. It was a good size so they could really see the details. The only thing I would change is there should be some labeling on it so they can learn what they are actually looking at. Other than that this would be a great poster for the kids that loves human science or high school or college kids learning biology. Our Opinion:
We have watched the other Marley & Me movies and loved them so we knew we would love this one too. We love animal movies especially when they talk and have cute little attitudes. Even my 3 year old sat and watched the whole movie. They loved it! It was funny and cute. This is definitely a great family movie night movie! Make sure you check it out when it comes out! You will enjoy it like we did!
