Prayer Request

I have asked for prayers for this before but I can use all the prayer I can get regarding this part of my work with Habitat for Humanity. One of the things that I am responsible for is family recruitment. While I have had some success in some parts of our service area, in other parts of our service area, we are really scrambling to find qualified families. The most urgent need is in the city Hamilton, Ohio. We have grant money tied into some property in Hamilton and we have to start three new houses very soon. Right now we have no families who want to live in this area. The challenge is that it is an inner-city area that has a reputation of being a high crime area. The city has done lots of redevelopment projects in the area and things are changing but it is slow and it's hard to change people's perceptions. We need families who want to be pioneers and make a difference in the community. When I was at the national Habitat for Humanity conference in Atlanta, I heard from staff of other affiliates who have found families like this who want to help be a part of helping to transform neighborhoods. I know they are out their in Hamilton as well. I just have to figure out how to find them. I have some ideas but time is running out and we will lose the grant money if I can't find these families. So, I would ask for your prayers for wisdom. Also, please pray that families who are the perfect match for this neighborhood would step forward in faith. I know there are families who fit our criteria who are in need of safe, decent, affordable housing.
Thank you for your prayers and for being a part of my journey!
