Well, it's March Madness time again. I don't follow sports but I'm told it's March Madness by our Executive Director who is a sports fanatic. I'm guessing she's right because it is March. You may remember that I won the bracket contest at my office last year and I got a bobble head of me in a Duke basketball jersey. It's quite creepy (see photo).
People in the office are already mocking my methodology in choosing the the winning teams on my bracket chart. However, I have a very scientific method. If a college was founded by the Methodist Church, the team wins. If it neither college was founded by the Methodist Church then if it is a state that I've lived in, then that team wins. If it was not founded by the Methodist Church or I have not lived in the state, then I choose a college that's located in a state that I've visited before. If neither school was founded by the Methodist Church, is located in a state I've lived in, and it's not a state I've traveled to, then I just guess.
I'm sure when I turn my sheet in tomorrow, my co-workers will once again make fun of me for my lack of sports knowledge. However, I don't really care. I probably won't watch a single game during the tournament. I don't really care about basketball or any sport for that matter. All I care about is winning another bobble head and having bragging rights in my office for another year.
We'll see how this goes. Thanks for being a part of my journey!
