We love to read! We spend at least 30 minutes each and every day reading books in our house. Everyone does even my two year old loves our story time. I love finding great interesting fun books for the kids with awesome pictures and cute stories.
Candlewick also has want we want and like in books so they are always my first choice for shopping for books.
With Christmas I get the kids 2 to 4 books each as a present. They love and cherish these presents alot more than the one second toys that hey lose interest in. I think books are way better presents because they get used more and they are helping my kids learn and use their imagination.
Candlewick sent us 5 awesome book for my kids to try out. The first one we got was called Tubby. My youngest loved this one. It is a board book so it is tough enough to withstand her way over use of this book haha. This cute book has adorable pictures of a little toddler getting ready for bath and getting a bath and all the steps that go into it.It doesn't have too many words bu enough to get my daughter to interact with it. She thinks it is funny and we have read it over 30 times already.
The next book we got was Potty from
Candlewick. With us Potty training and all this is a awesome book for that. It is about a baby turning into a toddler where it should go to the bathroom at the diaper or the potty. It is quite cute with its questions and all. My daughter loves answering the questions before I read them which is great for her.
The next one we got is There's going to be a baby. This is a great book for siblings when a new baby is coming. It is funny and cute. The little boy in the story is not sure about adding a new baby to their family but mother explain all that the baby can be and he decides this could be a good thing and a bad thing. It so reminds me of my kids when we had a new baby announcement. I love it! The questions and images are adorable and fun. My girl thought it was hilarious. This is definitely a great book.
The next book we got was Miles to go from
Candlewick. Another cute book for little ones. Its a book about a little boy named Miles and he is driving his car to school and comes across obstacles along the way but finally makes it. It is a very fun story with great fun pictures. My 2 year old and 4 year old loved it. Even my 6 and 8 year old Love it. Definitely a very cute book for Christmas!
The last one we got was great for my 8 year old. It was called
Bink and Gollie. This one has three separate story adventures in it. It is a cute story about two girls one who is much older and one who is still a little girl and their adventure for new socks which Bink think are outrageous and too colorful but Gollie loves them. There are a couple other stories in there as well. This is a great older child book since there are quite a few words in it. This would make a awesome Christmas present as well.
