Today we had our first real dose of winter weather this season. We've had snow most of the day. However, the snow was very light and didn't stick in most places. I think some of the outlying areas around Cincinnati got more snow than we did at the office or at my apartment in Hamilton, Ohio. It sure did look pretty bad out for a while. One of our office volunteers said that it was very difficult to see when she was driving to the Habitat office.
I talked to my friend Mari tonight who informed me that it was in the low 20's and they had snow in South Bend. I'm not sure what the predictions are for the future for the Cincinnati area but my guess is that winter is finally here to stay. I don't mind it so much. I don't have to worry about shoveling and I don't have a very long commute to work. It was actually kind of neat to see the snow flying around today when I looked out the window. I felt like I was ready to welcome winter to the TriState region.
Thanks for being a part of my journey!
